Brazilian Top Team academy has achieved another great result. Our team was ranked third place overall at the 2019 IBJJF San Antonio International Open, which took place on December 8th in San Antonio, Texas. Coach Diego Gamonal had an outstanding performance and earned the gold at the Heavyweight on Master 1. The black belt Leonardo Machado also did great and won the gold at the Light-Heavyweight on Master 2. Coach Ruy Frade earned silver at the Lightweight and bronze at the absolute on Master 2.

“I’m very happy with the result. All the students represented our team very well, fighting very hard. We didn't get in with a lot of students due to the holidays, but we still had a great performance. The idea is to stay first always. Im also happy to return to competition after suffering two injuries, one in the shoulder and one in the knee, which I sprained three days before the competition. Fighting and being champion in my division was a huge overcoming”, celebrated Gamonal.
