Brazilian Top Team secures third overall place at IBJJF Dallas Summer Open No Gi

The Brazilian Top Team once again achieved a great result in a tournament organized by the IBJJF. Our team took third place at the IBJJF Dallas Summer International Open No Gi, held September 7 and 8 in Denton, Texas. Coaches Leonardo Machado and Ruy Frade, who closed the light heavyweight division and the absolute in Master 2. Coach Machado also won double gold in the Master 2 with Gi and Frade won the lightweight division.

“I’m very happy to win 4 gold medals in my city, just as I did in May too. I'm pleased with the third place overall in the NO GI competition, as this also reflects the good results of our students. And it shows that our union in Texas is working”, told Machado.

Besides Machado and Frade, who also had a great performance was Chris Mattews. He made a major brown belt championship in master 4 and won double gold in No Gi contests, as well as winning a silver medal in his division and one in the open class with Gi. In the purple belt, Mitchel Jones won double gold at No Gi and Brandon did the same in the blue belt in master 2.
